Obama Pushing Tax Plan!
As you may have read on my previous post. Obama has a very strong economic stimulus plan that he wants to bring in. This plan is very comprehensive and supposedly will cost tax payers close to $775 billion, over the two years the plan takes place. Many believe it will cost much more then that, some suggest it will be closer to 1 trillion dollars!
The bone of contention within that economic stimulus plan is the part on taxes! As his campaign had said from the onset, he wanted to increase taxes on the wealthiest Americans while giving a tax break to those making less then $250,000. Most felt that he would not go forward with this due to the current economic climate. They did not believe it made sense to increase taxes on anyone during this time.
All of Obama’s aides this past weekend have all stated to the contrary. They stated that Obama is planning on going forward with his tax plan come January 20th! The plan is for the economic stimulus plan to go in front of congress and get it passed soon after January20th. This plan will include tax cuts for some Americans, which will later become part of the permanent ones the Obama administration envisioned for America!
