What do they mean repayable tax credit? Does it mean that it has to be pay back?

This comment is actually referring to my current post, which is about the current $8,000 credit which does not get paid back. But, if you purchased your house between April 1, 2008 and January 1, 2009, you will have to pay back the $7,500 back that you receive as a credit. To understand how this will work, please go to http://www.federalhousingtaxcredit.com/faq.php#17
