Analysis of Barack Obama’s Speech
Thursday, November 6th, 2008
I originally did not want to give commentary of his speech because I thought his speech spoke beautifully by itself. But I have gotten messages from people who said “It is good you gave us quotes but we wanted your analysis of his speech.” So the following is my analysis of his speech and what it means for us:
Barack Obama’s speech spoke directly to the thoughts and feelings of the American people. He needed to bridge the gap of the American people who did not vote for him for whatever reason. There was more than enough negative campaigning, and so there were a number of reasons why people may have not chosen him as their next president. But for this country to move forward and to have a positive economy the American people have to have confidence in their next president. I thought his words to speak about this, and his quote from Lincoln did this beautifully.
As Lincoln said to a nation far more divided than ours, “We are not enemies, but friends…though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection.” And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn – I may not have won your vote, but I hear your voices, I need your help, and I will be your President too. – Barack Obama November 5, 2008 (more…)

November 4th 2008 will absolutely go into the history books as one of the most important dates in history! Not only did we elect the very first African American president but the strategic way in which it was done was amazing! There are many things that I want to say about this election. For this post I only want to speak about the way in which Barack Obama uses language to bring confidence to the American people. I believe there is no better example than his acceptance speech. I know that the United States economy will begin to soar due to his ability to grab the American people and have them understand that we are moving in a positive direction. The following are quotes from his speech last night that I thought did this best:
No matter what party you support- go out and VOTE! I am very excited that I have been hearing all morning of the large number of individuals going out to the polls, even though their have been very long lines! I really believe that this excitement in the election process will help to build confidence in the economy - no matter what party takes office!
The economy is not doing very well so understanding how to get free media for your business is imperative! So how do you do it, especially since you may not have much experience? Realtor.com has actually come up with a very small and simple handout that explains the basics of getting free media. You can get the handout
“Brain Rules” by John Medina is AMAZING! It is a very good book which simply states how to get your brain to its highest potential, so that you can live your life to the fullest! If you want to live your life right now then you must both read this book and practice the principles taught in the book now!
