When business becomes busy for the agent beyond two transactions a month, it becomes important to get help.  This is not only to maintain the business, but to continually market to get new business.  For most agents, this help comes from an assistant.  It is very important to understand how to hire an assistant and train them.  We will first speak about determining whether an assistant will be helpful in your specific situation.  Second, we will discuss understanding your budget and what you believe would work for you.  Third, we will work on putting together a job description, so that you can determine everything you would like the assistant to do for you.  Fourth, we will create written instructions for those processes you would like them to do.  It is essential that before hiring an assistant, each agent understand what the assistant can and cannot do, while at the same time has trained them effectively.  Not doing so can be a large liability and lawsuit waiting to happen, which could cause both pain and financial loss.

It is imperative that agents do not make each transaction a new process.  It makes the transaction complicated, and it causes potential for the agent to forget integral steps within the transaction.  This is especially significant for the fiduciary and legal responsibilities that the agent has.  This also allows the agent to deal with multiple transactions at the same time and not have any issues.
